Question: After a 5-year hiatus, how do we create talkability and drive sign-ups to South Africa’s ultimate Survivor challenge?
Answer: A wild card entry challenge with a classic twist. THE SURVIVOR BILLBOARD.
We pushed mystery Wildcard Challenge entries through 947 and Kfm. Eight finalists then competed against each other live on the custom-made billboard. Immunity Challenges and tribal council votes were streamed via Facebook live and amplified with radio broadcasts. Over three days, we managed to reach 2m people in traffic and generated 1.6 million digital impressions. Survivor attracted 11,500 contestant applications and created more hype than any local Survivor, ever.
