Retroviral continues to strengthen its presence on the global creative stage, with multiple team members recently selected to serve as judges across some of the advertising and communications industry’s most respected awards programmes.
Spanning international creative festivals and South Africa’s leading digital awards, the appointments reflect the agency’s growing influence in shaping the future of creative excellence, strategic communications and culturally resonant work.
Leading the list of recognitions, Mike Sharman has been appointed as a Shortlist Jury member for the WINA Festival — an international awards platform celebrating independent agencies and networks from around the world.
Pippa Misplon has also been named to the Grand Jury of the Lisbon International Advertising Festival, joining an international panel tasked with evaluating standout work from across the global advertising landscape.

Meanwhile, Koketso Masisi, Kgothatso Maditse, Mei Lee and Giulia Lucia Benincà Hanger-Hill have been selected as jury members for the AdForum PHNX Awards, a globally recognised awards programme known for spotlighting progressive creativity and democratising creative recognition across the industry.
Closer to home, Koketso Masisi, Giulia Lucia Benincà Hanger-Hill, Mike Sharman and Lésche du Toit have been selected as judges for South Africa’s premier digital awards platform, the IAB Bookmark Awards.
The multiple jury appointments come amid continued international recognition for Retroviral’s work across healthcare, consumer marketing, media relations and earned media campaigns, reinforcing the agency’s reputation for bold ideas that shape culture and conversation.
