Sixty60 Swindler scooped Prism Campaign of the Year, the second year running the agency took the honour (the year before it was for My Kreepy Teacher. It also won a Loeries Gold for Effective Creativity.

Says agency Managing Director Pippa Misplon: “We’re naturally thrilled to have been recognised – who wouldn’t be? But, our mission is always to serve our clients and deliver results through excellence in branded entertaining content. If we happen to win awards by doing so, then that is just the cherry on top and cause for celebration! I’d like to thank and honour the Retroviral team, the powerhouse of the agency, for their dedication and energy this past year.”
How the poll works:
The Mark Lives annual #AgencyLeaders Most Admired poll has become an institution in the world of advertising and marketing in South Africa since it was first conducted in 2012. It’s the one award you can’t enter; for which you don’t have to buy a table or a trophy (we send you an awesome, custom-designed print poster for framing, on us); and where you can’t vote for an agency in your network.
Mark Lives poll the leaders of SA’s top adland-related agencies — including creative, media, digital, marketing, strategy and other specialist agencies — to find out what they think of their competitors, whom they see as effective managers and great creatives, and where they believe their future competition is likely to come from, among other questions.
Since it tracks these agency leaders’ instincts on who’s making waves and doing it right, as well as the views rival execs have regarding their competitors but can’t express in any other forum, the poll offers a unique perspective on the industry. In short, it reflects what your peers in adland think of you — a hat tip from them is the ultimate accolade.
For 2022, Mark Lives invited a panel of 230 handpicked agency and marketing execs, up from 196, to nominate their most-admired companies and company leaders of various types of agencies. All the nominations were then tallied up for the final result. In all poll categories, the editors of MarkLives hold a single vote. However, given how close the competition was in many categories, we decided yet again not to cast that vote in any category, ensuring winners in close races reflect those chosen by the industry.
