After Nando’s Diversity television commercial was banned because the SABC and DSTV claimed that it promoted Xenophobia, the team needed clever ways to convey the message that the brand was not Xenophobic but had instead intended the TVC to celebrate South Africa’s beautiful diversity.
We suggested bringing people together in areas affected by Xenophobia through a series of volunteer run pop up soup kitchens, and using blogging and social media to build awareness and spread the true Diversity message.
