It’s our 1st birthday

A lot can happen in a year. Around midday yesterday, it occurred to me that it was exactly a year ago that we began working out of an office making some calls, and sending some tweets and mails to inform marketing friends that we were officially in business to help brands with their digital or online communications.

We will never underestimate the power of the written tweet, because it was a connection that had been made, while Mike was still in London, that led to our first job with our good friends at Halo.

From this first job, things seemed to snowball. We collaborated (and still do) with one of South Africa’s finest online communicators, Melissa Attree, on several projects, started managing Miller’s social networks and developing content for them. We managed to convince the likes of Nando’s to back us after a proactive pitch led to the signing of NDA’s and ultimately the online seeding of Black River FC’s legendary ‘CEO’ ad that went onto receive a Gold Prism Award earlier this year – 100K YouTube views in less than five days. Not even we expected that sort of uptake.

We LOVE what we do, and we have the privilege of providing our services to some of the coolest people, brands and agencies in South Africa.
